Angel is the latest in a chain of bespoke restaurants from group Kaval in Ljubljana.A timber ark forms the basis of deign, which completes the ends of the space in a renaissance image of the Angel.
The space itself is organised into two parts, a bar and wine tasting area near the entrance and a restaurant. Swiveling shutters along the large window control views both out from and into the dining from the main shopping centre.
The restaurant is part of the new Mercator shopping centre, but it also operates as a stand-alone space, which can be separately accessed from the outside.
The project was designed and executed in association with Andrej Mercina of Trije Arhitekti, Ljubljana.
