Burak is the Partner of AVCIARCHITECTS and the Director of the Istanbul office. His experience ranges through a full spectrum of commercial office, retail, healthcare, hospitality and residential sectors, and he has worked in and directed teams on various leading mixed use and high-profile projects throughout Turkey and Europe.
He started his career at HAS Architects, one of Turkey’s largest and most experienced practices. He served at the company for 7 years, first as Project Architect, then advancing through positions of Project Director and the Studio Leader, leading many award winning projects through from conceptualization through to completion. In his tenure, Burak had the chance to work in collaboration with well known international companies such as Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, NBBJ, Llevelyn Davies Yeang and REES Associates, at various stages of the project cycle.
Burak joined AVCI in 2008, with the aim of further pursuing his keen personal and professional interest in ecological design and energy efficient architecture.
Throughout his career, many of the projects under Burak’s management have been published, and he also acts as a contributing journalist to many leading publications. Burak is a graduate of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Architecture.
