Osmanorro is an industrial suburb situated on the outskirts of Florence. The Auto Strada del Sole bounds the site on the West. To its North is the Via Lucchese. To the south of the development zone will be a major municipality connecting highway that links the site with a motorway toll gate and exit/entry gate, which will bring a great deal of accessibility to the proposed development. Further to the South is a protected wetland area, which presently acts as part of a flood plane. This area is un-developable but it is possible to use as a recreational zone, which serves the new development. Avci Architects were appointed with After Tuesday to develop a master plan and positioning strategy study, which would change the zoning of the site from industrial to mixed-use.
