Hamlet - Stage design

Spring 2006

The production is centred around a single long table symbolising family life/official state gatherings. The table, dividable in the middle if needed, cuts the stage diagonally into two and serves also as a procession podium, fencing ring, bed, etc. Sliding cubes used as seating are added on both sides, which enables numerous mise-en-scenes and compositions. The production is set in the glitzy Thirties of the 20th century.
