The long term vision for Hackney 180 is a community based project and space with a range of arts facilities at it’s core. Thames Reach Bondway plans to move it’s first contact service to another site and to create an open centre with a strong emphasis on the arts,desk top publishing,photography, printing and framing. The service will encourage social enterprise and routes into training and employment.
The client group will be those that are homeless, precariously housed and at risk of loosing their tenancies. The local area and community will be encouraged to use and be part of the space provided, either via the café, or to see and buy the art on display and to hire the space. This will help to integrate an often marginalised group of people.
